These purchase terms and conditions refer to products sold via StringSite.com.
Terms and conditions are an agreement between the parties – in the following referred to as StringSite.com and the Customer - for offers, sales delivery unless other written arrangement has been made.
Offers and order confirmation / invoice
Final agreement is made at when the customer receives a written order confirmation/invoice from StringSite.com – explicitly mentioned as such.
Catalogues, brochures, price lists, etc. and information about the products measurements, weight and special usability amongst others can be obtained by the customers prior to ordering of the product. Such information is only guidelines and is not contracted by StringSite.com unless explicitly mentioned in the order confirmation or invoice.
StringSite.com takes no responsibility for errors or information in written material made by manufacturers regarding their products. This goes for sales material, description, user manuals, etc.
All sales are done according to the effective online price list.
The agreed price is apparent in the customers order confirmation or invoice.
All prices on the website are incl. 25% VAT.
Payment can be done with the shown payment methods on the site (Eurocard/MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, VISA/Dankort, JCB and bank transfer) and must be done before or on the date shown as the last date of payment on the order confirmation or invoice. The payment information you enter when ordering are sent encrypted (SSL) directly to Nets and only you and Nets can see this information. This provides a safe and secure way of payment where no one else saves account information about you. When paying with a credit card the amount is not deducted from your account until the products are sent from StringSite.com. If you choose to receive your order by paying cash on delivery (C.O.D) you must pay the full amount before receiving the products from the carrier.
If no “payment due by” date is specified payment must be done cash on the date of invoice. If delivery is postponed due to the customers’ circumstances, the customer is – unless StringSite.com informs differently in writing – always obligated to make any payments to StringSite.com as if delivery was done at the agreed time.
If payment is done after the payment due by date StringSite.com entitled to charge a 2% pr. Month interest of the remaining balance.
The customer is not entitled to set off any counter demands towards StringSite.com that are not written approved by StringSite.com and has no right to withhold any parts of the purchase price due to any claims.
Discounts of any art are only given on terms of payment within specified time.
Right of Ownership
The delivered products remain the property of StringSite.com until the full amount with possible additional charges have been paid and all other demands regarding the business relationship have been met by the customer.
An order is usually shipped within 2 working days. Time of delivery depends on the freight forwarders terms. Delivery usually happens within 2-5 days to Denmark. Orders to Norway and Sweden usually deliver within 3 - 10 business days. StringSite.com takes no responsibility for orders held back by government departments (i.e. the tax dep.) These orders will have a longer time of delivery due to clearance for applicable taxes.
All rights reserved for backorders and delays in delivery. In case of longer time of delivery on a product it will be mentioned in the description if possible.
Delivery is considered done when the order is handed over to the first freight forwarder with the intention to send the products to the customer. If the customer chooses to collect the goods, delivery is considered done when the goods are made available to the customer at Stringite.com’s facility/warehouse.
StringSite.com will begin delivery on the time mentioned in the order confirmation or invoice unless other agreements have been made. If by any reasons commercial, technical or other, including delays in products/services delivered from a supplier, StringSite.com is entitled to postpone the date of delivery.
If arrangements have been made to deliver the goods at an address defined by the customer, the products are made available for disposition to the customer.
If the goods can not be delivered to the specified address the goods can be collected at the nearest post office or other facility defined by the freight carrier. If the goods are not collected before the specified last layaway date the products will be returned to StringSite.com and the customer will be charged a fee of 15% or minimum 150,- to cover handling costs and restocking. If new delivery is wanted the accompanying charges will be billed to the customer.
Expenses due to possible wait time at the delivery address will happen at the customer’s expense. Also, the customer must cover any cost as a result of unavailability to receive the goods at the agreed delivery time.
Any delays caused by situations described as in “Delivery”, the time of delivery is postponed as much as the obstruction is in effect. Both parties are, however, entitled to cancel the agreement if this delay is longer than 14 days. This ruling takes its effect regardless of the cause of the obstruction takes place prior or post the agreed time of delivery.
In the case of the above mentioned situation StringSite.com must immediately report any changes in delivery time to the customer.
StringSite.com is not responsible for compensation for either direct or indirect losses, following losses, loss in profit, etc. that may occur as a result of late delivery. A possible demand of compensation can not exceed the amount of 10.000 DKK per damage case.
Transition of Risk
The risk of the acquired product is passed on to the customer when the product is given over to shipping by StringSite.com, its supplier or when the product is made available to the customer at StringSite.com’s facility/warehouse.
In the occurrence of StringSite.com not being able to deliver due to some customer circumstances the risk of the product will also be passed on to the customer when StringSite.com learns about these circumstances and the goods are put at disposition to the customer.
StringSite.com will not be liable to any missing fulfillment of obligations caused by force majeure, incl. war, riots, civil concerns, actions done by government or local authorities, strike, block, or lock-out, export-/ import prohibition, natural disasters or bad weather, fire, lack of employment or energy supply or any other reason that is out of StringSite.com’s control and are possible to stop StringSite.com fulfilling the agreement.
The above mentioned force majeure clause remains in force, whether StringSite.com is obstructed directly or one of its suppliers or freight carriers are.
Deficit and Claims
At delivery the customer must right away – and before usage – make a qualitative and quantitative examination of the goods such as proper business demands.
If the customer wishes to claim a qualitative or quantitative deficit then the customer must immediately and within 14 days of receiving the item(s) contact StringSite.com in writing about this and describe the deficit. This can be done via email to info@theStringSite.com.
Should the delivered goods turn out to have any deficits to which StringSite.com is liable, StringSite.com is – alone and by own choice - entitled to either make an adjustment, repair or exchange within a reasonable time schedule or to give a considered reduction in the purchase price.
StringSite.com is not liable for either direct or indirect losses, following losses, loss in profit, etc. that may occur as a result of a deficit delivery. A possible demand of compensation can not exceed the amount of 10.000 DKK per damage case.
It is the customers’ sole responsibility to check the package for damages at time of delivery and to immediately make any claims regarding transport damages known to the freight carrier in writing. If no damages could be determined at delivery but are discovered when unpacking the item(s) then as soon as possible and at least within 8 days of delivery the carrier must be contacted in writing. In theses cases please be aware of any terms the carrier might have.
The customer has a 2 year limited warranty on products purchased at StringSite.com. However, no warranty is given on wearable products such as strings, picks, drum sticks, etc. unless the fault is one of production.
The customer is asked to - and on demand show - wherein the fault is.
When returning products to StingSite.com a return form must be used. The return form can be downloaded from StringSite.com
Cancelling and Changing of an order
The customers’ change or cancellation of an order (including changes in specifications, amount and time of delivery) must be arranged by writing in the individual cases. Any costs as a result of cancellation or change is to be fully covered by the customer.
Returns – Revocation
The customer always has 14 days of full return after the goods have been delivered.
In the extent to which the customer is returning as subject to the right of revocation, the customer will be liable for any costs connected just as the risk of the products will remain with the customer until StringSite.com has confirmed receiving the products back from the customer in perfect and faultless condition.
Products (and accessories) must be returned in the same state and amount as delivered. Products and accessories must be unused in faultless condition and in clean original packaging without blemishes. If there are any faults or errors on the product when recieved from the customer it will either be refused as a return or a restocking fee of 15% will be charged.
StringSite.com will refund the full amount to the customer as long as the conditions above are kept.
StringSite.com reserves the right to charge a fee of 15% of the full amount if the customer chooses to return a product that has been specifically procured and is not considered a normally stocked product. This generally concerns products that are not StringSite.com's own brand.
When returning products to StingSite.com a return form must be used. The return form can be downloaded from StringSite.com
StringSite.com does not offer any independent warranty on deliveries and a manufacturers warranty mentioned in the agreement (or elsewhere) is to be considered as a forwarding of the manufacturers warranty. Therefore no claim of demands can be done towards StringSite.com concerning the warranty statement.
The warranty is only in effect if the warranty statements conditions are met and conditions of use of the product have not been exceeded.
StringSite.com has done it easy and convenient for you to gather information from other websites via links. These websites are out of StringSite.com’s control and therefore StringSite.com can in no way be held liable for the content on these pages. Information about the ordered products from these (and like) homepages is not a part of the description of the ordered products in the agreement between the buyer and StringSite.com
To the extent of which nothing else is mentioned the following rules and regulations are effective regarding StringSite.com’s product responsibility.
StringSite.com is only responsible for personal damages if it is proven that the damages are a result of errors or negligence made by StringSite.com or others which StringSite.com or liable for.
StringSite.com is not responsible for any damages made to real estate or personal property that may happen while the sold product is in possession of the customer. Nor is StringSite.com responsible for any products manufactured by the customer or in products wherein these are part of. Moreover StringSite.com is only responsible for damages on buildings and personal property in the same conditions as for personal damage.
StringSite.com is not responsible for any operating losses, loss in profit or other indirect losses.
To the extent that any obligations regarding product responsibility towards third parties are held against StringSite.com, the customer is obliged to keep StringSite.com indemnified to the same extent as StringSite.com’s responsibility is limited as described in the 3 points mentioned above.
These limitations in StringSite.com's responsibility are not in effect if the user/customer has been using the product in a different way than prescribed or is guilty of gross negligence.
Should any third party declare a demand towards any of the parties regarding compensation as referred to in the above paragraph this party must immediately inform the other. StringSite.com is only independently responsible for compensation for product damage caused to other items if it is documented that the incident is due to defects in the product as a result from errors done by StringSite.com. StringSite.com’s independent responsibility for damages on items can never exceed the amount of 10.000 DKK. StringSite.com is liable for culpa responsibility alone from the date the claimant gains knowledge or should have gained knowledge to the defect/damage.
In case of a dispute StringSite.com and the customer are obligated to use the Danish judicial system and its laws.

A complaint over a product or service that has been bought with us can be sent to Konkurrence- og Forbrugerstyrelsens Center for Complaints via www.forbrug.dk
The EU-Commissions online dispute portal can also be used to send a complaint. This is relevant if You are a consumer residing in a different EU country. Complaint can be filed here - http://ec.europa.eu/odr

StringSite.com reserves the right to change and update the terms for use of this website. Therefore, it is important that you keep updated on any changes that may have been done.
Misuse of StringSite.com will result in a police report.
