Stringsite.com's strings are all Electric Nickel Wound which concist of a steel alloy plated with nickel. This method of manufacturing brings several advantages: The strings get a nice crisp and "round" sound as well as being more consistent and restistant to oxidation (rust) than 100% steel strings. Finally the nickel plating provides a softer feel to the strings which reduce finger noise (screech when moving across the strings) and also give longer life to both strings and frets.

6 of 6 in test = Top grade!
Tested in Soundcheck magazine by Søren Korsgaard: (translated from Danish by StringSite.com)
"Guitar and Bass strings cheap on the net
Electric guitar strings.
As written in the pretext it was my intention to test the electric gutiar strings on two identical guitars. This, however, turned out to be harder than I had first assumed. There are no music shops that are particularly fond of String Site and therefore they were not very eager to participate in the test. As one of them said: "With the prices they are selling strings at I can only loose a test like this. They sell the strings at a cheaper than I can buy them for from a distributor to sell in my shop."
So instead I had to turn to my old Telecaster and put a set of strings on it. I have tried many different electric guitar strings without being able to point out one distinguished favorite. The strings from String Site were fine and in tune right after string-up. They had a fine tone and a good crisp sound. They sing even when the amp gets some overdrive and all in all the experience of playing with these strings were fine. Again, as it was with the acoustic strings, these strings are not remarkebly better than others I have tried - they just are not worse either so again I have to give them top grades as these strings can be purchased for less than 20% of what a regular set costs.
